Parks

Cedar Grove Park

That dual fencing situation is a genuine selling point if you have a runner. Gazebo with views, wildflowers in spring. Large covered shelters reservable for parties.

Parks

Columbus Tustin Park

Boat-themed play structure with wide accessible ramps throughout one of the more genuinely inclusive playgrounds in central OC. Helms, cannons, multiple climbing options. Accessible swing plus bench swing. Lighted softball diamonds and tennis courts on-site. Note: right under John Wayne Airport flight paths, so planes are loud and frequent kids either love it or cover their ears.

Parks

Parks

Pioneer Road Park

Western theme executed well enough that kids actually role-play instead of just climbing and leaving. Summer water play area (Memorial Day-Labor Day). Six bench swings plus two baby swings, dedicated lot. Popular for birthday parties on weekends.

Parks

Tustin Sports Park

Fully renovated in 2022 as an accessible, shaded playground one of Tustin's best parks. Covered play structure, sports fields surrounding it, clean layout. The 2022 renovation brought it in line with Irvine-level park quality.

Parks

Veterans Sports Park

Good playground, multiple sports fields, and the water feature makes it a complete summer morning run around, then cool off. Tustin is more manageable on weekends than the beach.

Parks

Victory Park

If your kid is a climber, this is their park. Multiple spiderweb climbing structures not just one as a token feature, but several different ones scattered throughout the playground. Kids who'd otherwise be bored in three minutes at a regular park will disappear into this one.

Splash pads

An OC institution at 17440 17th St Zov Karamardian has been feeding Tustin since 1987 with her Armenian-California fusion: lavash flatbreads, mezze, whole-roasted chicken, fresh pastries from the bakery side. The bakery counter alone is worth the trip. Brunch on weekends is a local staple. A genuinely beloved restaurant that feels like the chef actually cares.

Seasonal

Tustin Tiller Days

Annual fall festival that's been running since 1957 carnival rides, games, live music, food, local artisans, and a kids zone. Celebrates OC's agricultural heritage, which sounds dry but plays well with kids once they're there. Community-scaled event, not overwhelming like the county fair.
