Called out on the site as 'extremely toddler-friendly' multiple play structures, big grassy field, and a 0.6-mile walking loop good for strollers. Walking trails through the redwoods, a fishing pond, picnic areas, and 2.5 miles of hiking trails. The redwood grove alone is worth the trip you'd swear you drove to Big Basin.

A low-key park directly across from Carbon Canyon Regional Park with an interactive piano panel kids can actually pluck songs out of that's the standout feature. Full basketball court, soccer field, big open grassy area. Only bench swings (no baby swings), so better for walking kids and up. Play structure is downhill from parking with steps/ramp access. Sand surface can accumulate on equipment.
4 baby swings plus 3 bench swings including an accessible one good coverage for different ages. Dog parks on-site. Two separate parking lots. Can get hot on warm days. Worth timing around shade.

Reliable Brea sushi spot with a full Japanese menu a step above the average strip mall sushi, with quality fish and a relaxed atmosphere that can accommodate kids without making other diners miserable. Good for introducing kids to sushi in a lower-stakes setting than an omakase bar. The teriyaki and katsu are solid fallbacks for kids who aren't ready for raw.
