OC mom groups that actually meet

Making mom friends as an adult is basically dating, except everyone's tired and someone's eating sand. These are the OC groups that are actually active right now: walks, run clubs, playdates and a couple of free standbys. Weekend ones are marked, because most of these meet on weekday mornings and not all of us can.

Every group checked on its own page Β· Nov 2, 2026

The whole trick (it's free)

  1. Pick one group below that meets near you at a time you can actually do.
  2. Go three times in a row. The first one is awkward for everyone, promise.
  3. Same park, same day, same time. The regulars become your people.

This weekend's mom meetups Nov 7 to 8

Straight from Thursday's newsletter. Most groups also meet during the week.

Mother Runners OC, Saturday Run + Coffee

This weekend's mom meetups, every Thursday

Most of these groups post their dates on Instagram, a week out, in a flyer. We read them so you don't have to. The weekend ones go in the newsletter every Thursday.

Run a mom group we missed? Or went to one of these and it was a bust? Tell us on the Tip Line. We check every group's own page before it goes on this list, and we take off the ones that go quiet.

Groups change hosts, days and fees all the time. Check the group's page before you go. Listing here isn't paid and isn't an endorsement of anything except showing up.
